Call Backs!

Call backs are tonight.

Hopefully this trend of Samantha and I being on the same page continues for the casting process!!! We had practically the same thoughts about everyone who auditioned. We have a very similar vision for this production.

After our meeting with Mark yesterday I am very optimistic about where this is going!

As I sit on my uncomfortable futon, wearing my boyfriend's over sized sweatshirt, eating triscuits , and re-reading Apocalypse Plays for the 2394830948th time, I am beginning to worry about auditions tomorrow. But this is a different kind of worry-nervousness. I don't have the stress of memorizing a monologue or praying for a call back, I'm now Officially on the other side of the fence and I get to choose who I want to work with. This both excites and terrifies me. What if I make the wrong choice? What if I make the right choice!!


I do hope, however, a few more people sign up for auditions, as there are many many many spots open. Perhaps I'll post another facebook-status about this. I want to keep my options open, but not toooooooooooo open. Having too many people to choose is another can of worms, completely!


As I put on my director's cap once more, (though this time backed up by a wonderful playwright, a great stage manager, and a spectacular design team,) I am looking forward to embarking on this leg of the journey- casting these fantastic shows, and thus becoming a real-true-blue production!

I'll update after the initial audition process tomorrow, and awkwardly make my way through the game otherwise known as "call-backs"!!!!!
